Hotdogs With Aperture Priority

Aperture: f/2.5  – Shutter-speed: 1/160 – ISO:200

Lets kick off the ‘Pocket Monday’ series with this photograph. I took it whilst on a food pit-stop during my photography jaunt at Leeds Corn Exchange. My choice of fuel was the ‘Original Naked Dog’. Described on Primo’s Gourmet Hotdogs‘ Menu as “Any hot dog – plain or with House Onions or Sauerkraut”.

Travel Photography – Planning for Photo Flying Provides

With only 3 days to go before the departure for my ‘Belfast Titanic Challenge’, I’m starting to get excited.  At the time of arranging the trip, I knew that I had only the time frame of the weekend available.

Photography Tips – Specular Highlights

The two photographs below are of something that I try to keep an eye out for during low light situations where a small amount of intense light entering the scene and hitting surfaces which have mirror like properties. During the golden hour (sunset and sunrise) it is easier to spot these specular highlights and if you make good use of them they can make for some striking black and white photography as they create lots of natural contrast for you.

One other thing that I’d like to bring to your attention is something that crops up a lot. People often say to me “I wish I could take good photos, but I haven’t got a good enough camera”. . .
