Flying two Pitts S2B ‘The Wildcats are one of the UK’s leading formation aerobatic display teams based at Old Buckenham in East Anglia. The Fleet consists of two Pitts S2B aircraft. Wildcat 1 G-DIII Piloted by Al Coutts and Wildcat 2 G-ZIII (Piloted by Willie Cruickshank).
The Pitts Special designed by Curtis Pitts has amassed many competition wins since it’s first flight in 1944. In the 60’s and 70’s this little aerobatic aeroplane dominated the world of competition flying, and even today it remains a potent competition aircraft and a favorite for many aerobatic display teams around the world including.
